Castles Education are looking for an Art teacher to start in a southeast London, SEMH School asap. This is a temp to perm position and a chance to make a huge difference to the students through their education. The school team are focused on outcomes for their students and only wish to deliver the best education possible.
The school is a key stage 4 provision for students who will be taking their GCSE qualifications and moving onto further education. Therefore, the teacher needs to be able to deliver the Art syllabus to GCSE. An experience management team, who all have expertise in teaching students with SEMH, supports all staff and in their most recent OFSTED report, received a good grade.
Location wise the school is a 5 minute walk from London Bridge train and underground station so is a perfect location for most teachers across London.

Pay for this role would be equivalent to MPS but with additional SEND points depending on experience once, the role became permanent.
• You will also need a proven track record of teaching students with challenging behaviours.
• Be able to show how your Art lessons impacted learning and the outcomes
• Strong behaviour and classroom management
• A DBS on the update service or be prepared to carry out a new DBS.
• Any extra curriculum activities that would be of benefit to the Art department would be an advantage
• A sense of fun and enjoyment in teaching is essential for this post.
