I am looking to recruit a Physical Education teacher, for two terms, for a large school in Salford. This is to cover the absence of the current post holder, following a promotion. You must be a confident, capable teacher of Boys PE and be willing to run and manage several school teams.
The PE department in our school has been stable in terms of staffing for the last six to eight years; the Head of Department is a long-standing, well respected teacher and he is a firm believer in sharing best practice through regular meetings, CPD and ongoing assessment. Subsequently, new ideas and energy flood through the department and there is a strong sense of team spirit. The teams which represent the school do so with a strong sense of pride, passion and they have been successful across the borough for many years now.
Results have been consistently good over the last five years, and this is due to well resourced facilities, passionate teaching and the Head of Faculty’s unrelenting desire to increase uptake of PE at KS4.
To be considered for this role, you must:
We pay excellent rates for long-term supply (to scale, from day one) and our staff are paid PAYE, on a weekly basis.
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, younger learners and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. All positions will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
