We have been approached by one of our partner schools in Rochdale, as they are looking to secure the services of a QUALIFIED SECONDARY ENGLISH TEACHER, on a full time basis. This post is on a two term basis, from January 2019.
Our school is in a modern, state of the art building and benefits from having well-supplied classrooms and faculties. Along with excellent sports facilities, our school is set in quite picturesque scenery and benefits from being nestled at the based of the Pennines. The catchment area is from a predominantly affluent area and subsequently, attitudes to learning are excellent.
To travel to this school; road links are excellent (M60, M62, M66); there are several key bus routes in the local area and there is a Metrolink station within a short walk. This school is suitable for English Teachers from Greater Manchester, Lancashire and West Yorkshire due to how accessible it is.
This role is suitable for a more experienced Outstanding teacher of English who is looking for a new challenge in a school which has made excellent progress under the new SLT. Or, you may be an English NQT who is looking for a two-term post to start (or finish) your Induction Year. For truly outstanding teachers, this post will be made permanent for September 2019.
To be successful in this role, you must be able to make Shakespeare come to life, teach Poetry and Prose with vigour and passion, and also be able to contribute to the already legendary Summer Play that the English department play such a key role in. Our Head of Department prides themselves on high quality English lessons and as such, results are consistently high in a very stable faculty.
