We are seeking TEFL qualified teachers with a degree and some experience to join the team at various private primary schools across the city.
We have primary school teaching positions available in various Istanbul locations.
Instructors are expected to work as part of a dynamic team with a commitment to continuous improvement and high quality in learning outcomes.
We work with a select group of private kindergartens with multiple campuses around Istanbul.
You’ll be working in well-established institutions with good reputations, within a team of many other expats.

We have worked with the same group of schools for a long time.
Class sizes are usually 24 students, and you’ll typically teach several different classes in either one or two grade levels.
You’ll have around 28 lessons per week and each lesson is usually 40 mins in length.
Native speakers are usually asked to enrich the main course with activities focusing on communication skills.
You’ll share a class with the Turkish main course teacher and align your lessons with their topics and objectives .
Most schools have a set curriculum and coursebook for you to follow and you’ll have some freedom to supplement those materials with your own.
Lessons are often planned in teams and planning meetings are usually held after school one day per week.
Working hours are from 8am to 4:30pm Monday to Friday with weekend off except for a few special occassions thoughout the year when you’ll be asked to come to school on a Saturday or Sunday for a ceremony, parents meeting or simlilar events.
There is a two week semester break at the end of January and 7 weeks off in the summer. Christmas is not a recognised holiday in Turkey but there are other national holidays throughout the year.
-Native or “native like” English fluency with a clear accent.
-A 120 hour TEFL certificate or CELTA qualification
-A University degree from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand or South Africa
-Experience in teaching primary school children
-Knowledge of current ELT approaches, curriculum, materials
-Commitment to professionalism with strong work ethics, attention to detail, ability and willingness to learn and take initiative
-Creative, kind, child centred
-Ability to teach mixed ability groups
-Ability to incorporate technology into your lessons
-Good communication skills
-Strong classroom management skills
4,200 TL net per month and upwards depending on experience.
