An International School in Russia seeks outstanding and inspirational educators to join the Primary School.
St.Petersburg is a grand and historical city which never fails to amaze.
It is the cultural capital of Russia, and probably one of the most beautiful cities in Europe
Whether you’re cruising along the elegant canals, crossing one of the 342 bridges in the city, you’re never far from water in St Petersburg. This has earned the city unsurprising comparisons to Venice, but the similarities don’t stop there: walking around the historic centre will reveal canals lined by Italianate mansions and broken up by striking plazas adorned with baroque and neoclassical palaces.
St. Petersburg is an inexpensive city to live in, especially if your salary is in US dollars or Euros. If you are making around $1500 a month, you can live very well in Russia.
You’ll pay around $500 for a pretty good, fully furnished one bedroom flat in a good location. Groceries and eating out will cost you around $300-$400 a month.
This is a rare opportunity to work in an international school in Russia within a British curriculum.

There are a number of specific requirements to work as an English teacher in a Russian school.
For example, you will need a range of documentation, including a visa application before you travel to Russia, a passport valid until at least six months after your planned departure date from Russia for home, a job offer letter from a Russian school, three passport photos, and a recent negative HIV test.
Clearly this list goes further than you might normally expect if applying to teach English as a second language at a UK school, so you should be sure you are comfortable with obtaining all of the necessary documents.
Beyond that, be prepared for the culture shock of living and working abroad. Plenty of people go to teach English in Russian schools every year and make a success of it, so if you are interested but not sure how to proceed, we will be happy to talk you through the process of applying and what the experience might be like.
We are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, younger learners and vulnerable adults and we expect all staff and volunteers to share the same commitment. All positions will be subject to enhanced DBS checks, satisfactory references and will be exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974
